Japanese Azuma Bag series:
famous Nishijin weave pattern with gingko leaves, snowflakes, and moon patterns.
It is a careful weave and is very soft, yet durable.
Azuma Bukuro in Japanese refers to a wrapping cloth sewed and shaped into a bag, a bag that was first created when western culture penetrated the Japanese wrapping culture, turning packages into bags. We have used repurposed and recycled Kimono belts called Obi to make our collection. Each bag is a one off and a unique pattern made from the original 100% pure silk Obi belt and high quality black leather reproduction fabric.
